Ho Chi Minh City – April 20, 2025 – The electric public transport revolution is gaining speed in Vietnam as VinBus, the country’s first fully electric bus operator, announced the expansion of its fleet to cover more districts in Ho Chi Minh City.
Highlights of the Expansion:
25 new electric buses added to the fleet
New routes will connect District 7, Thu Duc City, and Tan Phu
Each bus features zero-emission technology, Wi-Fi, USB charging ports, and low-floor access
Environmental Benefits:
The initiative is expected to reduce CO₂ emissions by over 300 tons per year, part of the city’s broader goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050.
HCMC’s Department of Transportation called it “a significant step toward smart and sustainable urban mobility.”
