I Tested the Strikeman Dry Fire System, Here’s My Honest Take

This kit earns the top spot because it leverages the most popular pistol caliber on the market, making it the most versatile and accessible choice for the average shooter. You receive the complete package including the laser cartridge, target, and a stable phone holder.

I think the value here is clear, as the subscription-free app keeps the long-term cost low. It provides a solid foundation for anyone wanting to improve their accuracy without spending money at the range.

This version is purpose-built for the dedicated .40 caliber owner who wants to keep their skills sharp with their preferred sidearm. It provides the same reliable software integration as the top-tier 9mm kit but fits the specific barrel requirements for this cartridge.

I would point any enthusiast who uses a mid-sized frame pistol toward this option. It serves as an excellent way to maintain muscle memory when ammunition prices spike.

An unexpected feature of this system is how well the heavier laser cartridge balances within the barrel to simulate the recoil-free weight of a full-size pistol. It delivers the same sophisticated tracking metrics that help you track shot placement over time.

I find that users who favor the .45 ACP appreciate that this kit does not compromise on the software accuracy found in the smaller caliber sets. It is a robust tool for those who prefer the classic heavy round.

The most common complaint regarding this standalone unit is that it lacks the target and phone stand included in the full kit. However, for those who already have the base setup or just need a spare, it provides a cost-effective path to continue training.

I view this as a specialized component meant for people who might have multiple firearms and need a secondary laser. It is a simple, effective piece of gear.

Unlike the pistol-focused 9mm cartridge mentioned previously, this unit is designed specifically for rifle training sessions. It allows you to practice your optics and trigger control on an AR-style platform from the comfort of your living room.

In my view, this is a must-have if you want to dial in your long-range fundamentals. It brings the same digital tracking precision to your rifle drills.

This kit gained popularity as a niche solution for high-power handgun users who struggle to find affordable ways to practice their marksmanship. It fulfills that promise well by offering a specialized laser that handles the dimensions of the 10mm cartridge.

I believe this remains a top-tier choice for those who specifically train with high-energy rounds. It effectively bridges the gap between expensive range trips and productive home practice.
