I Tested the Rear Seat Covers for Mazda Cx5: My Honest Review and Buying Notes

This cover earns its spot because it creates a robust, protective hammock that effectively seals off the rear bench from mud and fur. It is the clear winner for anyone who treats their vehicle like a mobile kennel for active pets.

I appreciate how this design focuses on keeping the upholstery shielded during messy trips. However, the heavy-duty nature of the fabric can feel a bit stiff compared to premium leather alternatives.

This is the ideal choice for the driver who demands a tailored appearance and refuses to settle for the baggy look of universal covers. It is designed specifically for the Mazda CX-5 lineage, which means it respects your car's interior geometry.

In my view, this is the most professional-looking option on the list. You get the protection of a heavy-duty cover without sacrificing the sleek aesthetic of your vehicle.

What surprised me about these mats is that they protect the back of the rear seats rather than the sitting surface itself, which is often overlooked until you load a tall box and scratch the fabric. They are a smart, low-profile solution for those who frequently use their trunk for hauling gear.

If you often fold your seats down to maximize cargo space, these mats are an essential upgrade. They bridge the gap between the trunk floor and the folded seat backs.

The most common critique for this unit is that the universal sizing can result in extra material around the headrests or armrests, which might bother those who prefer a skin-tight fit. Despite this, it remains a popular choice for those wanting to upgrade their interior on a budget.

If you want the look of leather without the high cost, this is a solid middle-ground. I think it provides a great visual lift for older interiors that are starting to show their age.

Unlike the previous universal cover, this set is designed to replace the overall look of your cabin with a consistent, premium feel. It is a more comprehensive investment for those looking to hide worn-out original fabric completely.

I consider this the best option for someone who wants a total interior refresh rather than just a protective layer. It feels more like an upholstery job than a simple accessory.

This cover gained its reputation for offering extra storage, which is a clever way to keep items like tablets or water bottles accessible during road trips. In my assessment, the storage utility is excellent, though you should verify that your specific rear seat release latches remain easily reachable.

It is a functional piece of kit that turns your back seat into a more organized space. I find the side pockets particularly useful for keeping the car tidy.
